The Outstanding Football Official Award honors a collegiate official who has
shown superior abilities in officiating and has demonstrated sportsmanship,
integrity and character in intercollegiate athletics and amateur football.
Eligible candidates must have satisfied the following minimum criteria:
100 collegiate games officiated
A prominent national schedule
A continuing and significant contribution to the game after, or in addition
to, their officiating career
A demonstrated reputation for good citizenship and high moral character
Selection Process: Various individuals associated with The National Football
Foundation, such as former recipients, board members, corporate leaders, chapter
presidents and friends send nominations and suggestions to the Foundation.
Selection of the recipient is made by the Awards Committee and ratified by the
Board of Directors
