Hall of Fame Enshrinement
Throughout the year, the College Football Hall of Fame provides a unique backdrop for special events and tours for groups of all kinds, but no event creates more interest and draws more attention than the Annual Enshrinement Festival. Held on a mid-summer weekend, the Enshrinement Festival unites the community, fans and college football to officially enshrine the game's elite into the College Football Hall of Fame. Thousands converge on South Bend, Indiana, for this impressive event, but the festivities do not end there. Visitors for the spectacular event can get up close and personal with the Hall of Famers at the golf tournament, press conference, youth football clinic, autograph session, and even witness their heroes take the field one more time in the Hall of Famer flag football game. This year's Enshrinement Festival will take place on August 11-12, 2006. The Hall of Famers who will be enshrined this year include Cornelius Bennett, Tom Curtis, Anthony Davis, Keith Dorney, Jim Houston, John Huarte, Roosevelt Leaks, Mark May, Joe Washington, Paul Wiggin and David Williams, and coaches Pat Dye and Don Nehlen. The Divisional Class will be announced in mid-April. For more information, please click here. |
