The
Chapter Leadership Award
Current Recipients
Former Recipients
The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, Inc.,
is comprised of 119 chapters across the country. It is through these chapters
that the members of this organization make a significant effort to positively
affect the communities in which they are involved. In order to produce the profound
results that many of our chapters are noted for, a true leader is needed. In
recognition of their commitment, generosity, and guidance the Chapter Leadership
Award was created.
Each year the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame honors a
chapter leader from each of its four regions for their dedication in fulfilling
the goals and ideals of the Foundation as well as for their continuous effort
in honoring scholar-athletes and promoting amateur football in their community's
and beyond.
The Chapter Leadership Award is among the Foundation's most revered for all
the characteristics it encompasses. As Chairman of the National Football Foundation,
Ron Johnson states, "These distinguished persons have been selected
from among all of our chapters across the country for their leadership and numerous
contributions promoting the basic principle of scholarship, citizenship, and
athletic performance."
Speaking on behalf of the national office, NFF President Steven J. Hatchell echoed
Mr. Johnson's remarks. "The amount that these individuals have accomplished
as volunteers is amazing and we are delighted to have them representing the
National Football Foundation."
As noted before, four Chapter Leadership Awards are presented, each year, to
individuals from each of the Foundation's four regions. The recipients are guests
of honor at the NFF's Annual Awards ceremonies, at
the Waldorf-Hotel in New York City. In addition the Chapter Leadership Award
winners are honored, individually, during their stay at the Foundation's Annual
Award Luncheon.
