	The Draddy Trophy, often referred to as "The Academic Heisman."

Every year, The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame pays tribute to a select few with awards of excellence for exhibiting superior qualities of scholarship, citizenship and leadership. Additionally, the Foundation also recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding support for the NFF and its mission of promoting the game of amateur football.

Seven U.S. Presidents, countless military, business and community leaders, and hundreds of football officials and scholar-athletes from all levels are among those who have received these much acclaimed awards. Annually at the local level, the 119 chapters of The National Football Foundation honor over 3,000 high school scholar-athletes and community leaders with scholarships and awards.

The entire football community gathers each December at the Foundation's Awards Luncheon and Awards Dinner to celebrate these accomplishments, and The College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana, provides permanence by displaying the awards year round.

The 2007 Annual Awards Dinner will be held on December 4, 2007, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.

	The Gold Medal Recognizes an outstanding American who has contributed significantly to the sport of college football and our country. more

	The Distinguished American Award Awarded to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the betterment of amateur football in the U.S. more

	Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football Award Given each year to an individual whose efforts and activities in support of the Foundation and its goals have been local in nature. more

	Outstanding Football Official Award Honors an outstanding amateur football offical with superior officiating skills and impeccable integrity, sportsmanship and character. more

	The John L. Toner Award Presented to an athletics director who's displayed superior administrative abilities and a strong committment to the area of college football. more

	The Chris Schenkel Award The award seeks to recognize a sports broadcaster who has enjoyed a long and distinguished career broadcasting college football.more

	The MacArthur Trophy Annually awarded to the best college football team in the nation since 1959, twenty-three different schools have captured the trophy. more

	The Draddy Trophy The premier scholar-athlete award in all of amateur sports, it's often referred to as "The Academic Heisman." more

	National Scholar-Athlete Awards Approximately 15 football playing seniors are selected each year based on scholarship, community service and athletic performance. more

	National High School Scholar-Athlete Awards The most prestigious high school football academic honors in the country, they're annually given to four individuals. more

	The Chapter Leadership Awards Acknowledges commitment, effort and dedication in a chapter leader from each of the NFF's four regions. more
